Initially, the game went down to a permanent price of $39.99, but Best Buy’s current deal reduces the game’s price to a whopping 67%, which is perfect for those who have been holding out purchase until a significant price drop. Although Borderlands 3 is almost a year old, the game is still popular among fans of first-person shooters, thanks to developer Gearbox’s consistent content updates.

At the end of 2019, Borderlands 3 received its first major DLC expansion called Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot. The content update introduced several new features to the game, which includes a new set of legendary items. In March of this year, Gearbox released Borderlands 3’s second DLC called Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock. Similar to the first expansion, Guns, Love, and Tentacles also introduced a wide variety of new legendary weapons, alongside a level cap increase from 53 to 57, and a new storyline that revolves around the planning of the wedding of Wainwright Jakobs and Sir Hammerlock on the planet Xylourgos.

At the moment, Gearbox is currently preparing for the launch of Borderlands 3’s third major DLC, which is called Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption, which is scheduled to launch on June 25. Although the third DLC is still unreleased, many players are already looking forward to the fourth major expansion, especially since it could explain the return of a fan-favorite character.

Ever since the release of Borderlands 3 in September of 2019, the game quickly captivated the affection of first-person shooter fans and went on to become one of the biggest shooter games of 2019. Last February, Gearbox revealed that Borderlands 3 was able to reach an impressive sales milestone after the game was able to push out a whopping 8 million copies, which is a significant contribution to Gearbox’s profitable year.
