Those who want to travel the galaxy as one of the new Vault Hunters, face off against the Calypso Twins, and score a lot of loot, there is yet another incentive to pre-order. Borderlands 3 will feature 3 special editions beyond the base game, which include the Deluxe Edition, the Super Deluxe Edition, and the Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition. With any version of the game, pre-ordering it will reward players with a golden weapon skin pack and a weapon trinket.
As seen below, this skin pack is as simple as it sounds, but the allure of killing bandits with a golden weapon is a nice added bonus for those planning to pick it up anyway. With the exception of the GameStop-exclusive Collector’s Edition, these can be pre-ordered at most major retailers, physical or online. The second exception comes solely for PC players, as Borderlands 3 has been confirmed to be an Epic Store exclusive for 6 months.
The Collector’s Edition will be exclusive to GameStop (PS4, Xbox One). However, it can also be purchased through the official 2k store.
Gearbox also officially stated that a Gameplay reveal event is set for May 1. We will hopefully get a detailed look at the new Borderlands 3 character classes and abilities for FL4K the Beastmaster, Moze the Bot Jock, Zane the Operative, and Amara the Siren then.
Borderlands 3 will launch on September 13, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
