All shift codes are redeemed in the same way: by being used in-game or entered via the Gearbox Software website, after which players can collect their reward while playing Borderlands 3. Currently, the game has multiple shift codes actively available to be redeemed because of the holiday season, and one of them even gives away Halloween-themed cosmetics rather than golden keys.

Today’s brand new shift code does give golden keys, although not just one: players can enter the code KB5JT-BFRZ9-XTWZ5-93KJB-3RRFT and get three golden keys, each of which will open up a chest that spawns random in-game rewards. It’s true that standard golden keys don’t usually yield legendary weapons, but at least the number of keys in this shift code is nothing to scoff at.

In addition, this particular shift code will remain active until Monday, November 4 at 10 am according to Pitchford; although he didn’t specify which time zone “10 am” referred to, most of his past shift code drops have been in CST, so it’s a safe assumption that’s the case with this one too. Either way, Borderlands 3 players should make a point to get this code entered by Monday morning if they want those keys and the loot that comes with them.

This shift code drop coincides with the Bloody Harvest Halloween event, which is naturally having its biggest day today–although the event itself will run until December 3, so players don’t have to worry about missing it. While players take advantage of this shift code, they can also enter the code dropped a couple of days ago with “spooky head customizations” for Halloween, and that promotion lasts until November 4 at 11:59 pm PST. The Bloody Harvest event itself is free to play for all who own Borderlands 3.

As with all shift codes, there’s nothing to lose and a bunch of loot to gain from heading over to the Gearbox site and entering in the code, so players should take advantage while they can.

Borderlands 3 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The new Borderlands 3 shift code can be redeemed in one of three ways. One, players can redeem it in-game. Two, they can redeem it through the Gearbox Software website. And three, the new Borderlands 3 shift code can be redeemed through the official Borderlands website. Regardless of how players redeem the code, they will then get a message in their Borderlands 3 mailbox that has the three Golden Keys inside. Then it’s just a matter of going to the chest aboard Sanctuary III and claiming some free loot.

Here is the new Borderlands 3 shift code: CTKB3-3TTB3-ZTWH5-9T5JJ-3TSH9. Remember that it expires on Monday, May 18 at 10:00am CT, so it becomes useless from that point on. However, anyone that misses out on redeeming it shouldn’t worry too much. Gearbox Software releases new Borderlands 3 shift codes regularly, and it’s likely that a new one will be released next weekend as well.

In the meantime, some Borderlands 3 fans may be more anxious to learn about more substantial new content that could be on the way for the popular looter-shooter. As it stands, Gearbox has yet to reveal many details about Borderlands 3’s third DLC expansion, but it’s expected to launch at some point this summer. What exactly it will entail remains to be seen, but hopefully more information comes sooner rather than later.

Perhaps more details on Borderlands 3’s next DLC will come as part of the ongoing Summer Game Fest event. Borderlands 3 publisher 2K Games is part of the Summer Game Fest, so it is certainly a possibility. As it stands, the next Summer Game Fest events aren’t happening until June, though, so if the BL3 DLC reveal is part of it, fans shouldn’t expect to see anything on it until next month at the earliest.

While Borderlands 3 fans wait for more information on the third DLC expansion, they can redeem this shift code for three Golden Keys and free loot in the game.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.

For a game like Borderlands 3, loot is the most important thing. From finding rare and hidden chests to farming bosses for hours, players can never have enough guns, grenades, and accessories. Golden Keys play a huge role in this, as they can unlock the special chest in Sanctuary, allowing players a shot at loot scaled to their level. This code expires Monday morning, so players need to hurry to claim their keys.

The shift code “KSK3T-BJ3RZ-C6WF9-FT3BJ-36RCK” will nab players a whole chest of loot to equip, sell, or trade to their friends. To use the shift code, players simply need to go to the main menu or pause their game, cycle to the codes screen, and input the code. Once acquired, they just need to redeem it to obtain the three keys. These can be used at the golden chest on Sanctuary at any point in the game, assuming the player has reached the ship.

While most gamers look for guns, there are plenty of great grenades that they should be on the lookout for as well. Powerful mods add incredible skill upgrades and abilities, buffing some skills past their normal limits. Some artifacts can completely change the way certain characters are played, such as Moze and the Deathless shield that reserves only 1 health. As for shields, the Transformer that absorbs shock damage is one of the most popular, and many fun builds can be made around it.

This key code comes right at the end of the Bonus Boss Loot event, so it is a perfect opportunity for players to try to get any missing loot from the chest rather than farming a boss. Loot Monster Mayhem is the next event, running August 13 to 20, so players can try out their new gear against hordes of hording enemies.

While there is still no roadmap for the rest of Borderlands 3, there is a pattern to the game’s DLC releases that leads many fans to believe the next content release will be in mid-September. If that is the case, then players have a month to enjoy all of this new loot before the next big challenge is presented to them. As Borderlands usually goes, it is the DLC bosses that need luck on their side once players are fully equipped and ready to fight.

Borderlands 3 is available on Google Stadia, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
