He rushed for 860 yards and a team-high 13 touchdowns in 2014 but had been off to a slow start until Saturday.

BC (3-1) had no timetable for his potential return, leaving junior Tyler Rouse (28 carries, 161 yards and five TDs) to shoulder the bulk of the team’s running game.

Hilliman’s injury comes a week after BC lost starting quarterback Darius Wade (broken ankle) for the season.

The Eagles, 0-1 in the ACC, play at Duke (3-1, 1-0) Saturday.
