The name of the melee-focused Siren seen in the Borderlands 3 trailer is Amara. This was originally revealed a couple of months ago through one of the various Borderlands 3 leaks that hit the internet well before the game was officially announced. Since other details in these leaks were confirmed by the Borderlands 3 reveal, we can safely assume that the Siren’s name is Amara. Of course, Gearbox may still end up changing it before officially naming the character and detailing her abilities itself, but that remains to be seen....

Typhon plays an interesting part in the narrative of Borderlands 3. Initially appearing through a series of collectibles called Typhon Logs, these recordings detail his adventures through the Borderlands universe. Found on the various planets, players are rewarded with a special chest for finding all the logs in each area - though the extra lore is often just as exciting. Typhon takes on a much bigger role in the game’s final act, with the character seen in the flesh by the modern Vault Hunters....
